The 4+3 program provides students interested in law the opportunity to pursue a traditional four-year bachelor’s degree with a direct entry admissions pathway to Quinnipiac Law’s JD program, as well as a minimum renewable merit scholarship of $15,000 annually.
With Quinnipiac’s innovative 4+3 Direct Admission Pathway, part of Quinnipiac Law’s Bridge to Law ecosystem, students benefit from a defined pathway to law school while enjoying a traditional four-year undergraduate experience.
Through early advising, mentoring, programming and law school preparation opportunities, students can begin preparing for law school from the start of their undergraduate journey. Students must apply to and enter the 4+3 Direct Admission Pathway before completing 60 undergraduate credits and, as a pathway requirement, complete at least 60 undergraduate credits at Quinnipiac. Students apply to Quinnipiac Law during the academic year in which they will complete their bachelor’s degree.

Students interested in the 4+3 Direct Admission Pathway must meet established academic benchmarks, including a minimum 3.5 LSAC-calculated GPA, and achieve an LSAT score equal to, or greater than, the law school’s first year class median at the time the law school application is submitted.
Students participate in the program in two phases:
1. Early enrollment in the 4+3 Direct Admission Pathway Program
Students must apply to and enter the 4+3 Direct Admission Pathway before completing 60 undergraduate credits and, as a pathway requirement, complete at least 60 undergraduate credits at Quinnipiac. Transfer credits do not count toward this minimum.
2. Application to Quinnipiac Law
Students must meet the program’s academic benchmarks and complete the following requirements:
Apply to Quinnipiac Law during the academic year in which they will complete their bachelor’s degree.
Students admitted through this program must complete all requirements for the bachelor’s degree prior to matriculation at Quinnipiac Law.
No. The 4+3 Direct Admission Pathway does not accelerate degree completion. Students complete a traditional four-year bachelor’s degree before beginning the JD program. It is not a 3+3 pathway.
Students accepted into the 4+3 Direct Admission Pathway must meet established academic benchmarks, including:
Earn a minimum cumulative 3.5 GPA as calculated by LSAC, including any adjustments made by LSAC in accordance with its credential assembly process.
Achieve an LSAT score equal to, or greater than, the law school’s first year class median at the time the law school application is submitted.
Submit two letters of recommendation, including at least one from a faculty member at Quinnipiac University.
Submit an application to Quinnipiac Law between September 1 and March 15 of the academic year preceding intended fall semester start.
Otherwise meet all standard admission, character and fitness requirements, including Quinnipiac Law’s review of the student’s complete academic file from Quinnipiac University and any other postsecondary institutions attended.
Yes. Students admitted under the Direct Admission Pathway:
Automatically receive a minimum annual merit scholarship of $15,000, renewable for all three years provided the student remains in good academic standing as defined by Quinnipiac Law’s Academic Regulations.
Are considered for additional merit-based financial awards, including but not limited to the Dean’s Fellows Program.
The program is open to all Quinnipiac undergraduate majors. Students can explore law through a range of academic disciplines, not a single prescribed major.

Expert-Led Prep: The program’s LSAT Prep Curriculum is developed by highly trained LSAT experts with years of experience writing LSAT questions and preparing students.
Student Value: The LSAT preparation would cost $995 as a standalone offering, creating meaningful built-in cost savings for students.
